Rental period

Start and end dates / times will be specified in Your Rental Agreement and must be strictly adhered to.

We will do all We can to have your Vehicle ready for collection at the agreed time. However, during busy periods, there may be some delays which are out of Our control. Should this be the case, no refund or compensation will be due to You and no extension of Your hire can be made.

Collection of the Vehicle must be no earlier than 3pm on the departure date unless agreed with Us by email. This is due to Our tight schedule of cleaning and preparing the Vehicle to a high standard.

You must ensure You have ample time to return the Vehicle at the specified time. You should take into account the remaining distance left to travel, allowing for traffic and not leaving a return ferry journey until the morning of return.

Return of the Vehicle must be no later than 11am on the return date. You will be charged for late return:

  • 1-2 hour = £50 plus any additional insurance charges
  • 2+ hours = daily rental fee plus any additional insurance charges.

If You happen to be running early, please contact us on the number given so that We can arrange a mutually convenient time to meet You. The Rental Agreement ends when:

If the state of the Vehicle or the weather/light conditions do not permit a full and complete inspection on return, We reserve the right to fully inspect the Vehicle at Our location after the Vehicle has been fully cleaned.

We recommend that You remain present for the inspection of the Vehicle and of any equipment, so that any damage or loss can be agreed. If You are not present for the inspection, We will inspect theVehicle and equipment in Your absence and, if We find any damage, We will notify You of the amount You are required to pay. You agree that We may charge Your payment card for this amount. You will not be liable for this amount if You can show the damage occurred after the end of the Rental Agreement. Please note, when the Rental Agreement is signed, We are authorised to take payment for damage if necessary and We may automatically charge the payment card associated with the reservation for this.

Number of Persons

Under no circumstances may more than the maximum and legal number of persons occupy the Vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse possession of the Vehicle if this condition is not observed. We love Our dogs and You are welcome to bring them along for the adventure. You must select the pet optional extra charge at the time of booking to enable a deep clean on return of the Vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse possession of the Vehicle in these circumstances and We will be unable to offer a refund.

It is Your responsibility to ensure Your dog is suitably restrained in accordance with the Highway Code.

Dogs are strictly forbidden from being lifted into the pop-top roof sleeping compartment. Blankets must always be used on the seats before Your dog jumps up to avoid scratching the upholstery.

Please clean Your dog/s as much as possible before re-entering the Vehicle to avoid undue mess. We know this is not always easy and recommend our pet adventure pack add on which includes a ‘mud daddy’ for those four legged friends who like to wallow! Your security deposit may be utilised or Your card details may be charged for any professional cleaning or damage caused by pets.

  3. The security deposit will be deemed a total loss if the driver(s)/hirer causes an accident whereby a claim is made against Our insurance policy.
  4. If the hirer is involved in an accident, We will hold the security deposit until it is confirmed that no insurance claim will arise against Our insurance policy or the hirer (non fault)

If You ignore this warning and continue to travel at excessive speed or drive in a harsh or erratic manner, the security deposit held by Us will be considered a total loss and We reserve the right to terminate hire.
  10. If the Vehicle is stolen during the hire period, the security deposit will be considered a total loss.
  11. If the Vehicle is stolen by You the hirer, or if You are deemed to be involved with the theft, Your liability is for the full market value of the Vehicle.
  12. If damage occurs to the Vehicle whilst on hire, for which the driver is at fault, We reserve the right to sever the hire agreement and the hirer must ensure that the Vehicle and its contents are returned to Us within 12 hours from the severance of this Contract. We shall not be liable for any associated travel or accommodation costs from the point of severance.
  13. In the event that an incident or breakdown occurs rendering the Vehicle unroadworthy, and You the hirer is not directly at fault, We will endeavour to arrange a replacement subject to availability.
